Iceland in Autumn Photography Workshop

17-23 October 2016

Tour leader : landscape photographer George Thalassinos for a Photography Adventure in Iceland

Duration: 7 days / 6 nights

Iceland is truly picturesque. Volcanoes, glaciers and towering mountains give shape to the rugged stunning Icelandic nature. It includes black sand beaches, cascading waterfalls, rocky cliffs and dreamlike lagoons which appear around every corner.

 During this tour,we will focus on finding the perfect weather conditions along with the golden light of the sunset and sunrise and of course we will be pursuing the Aurora Borealis as well.

  

 

Day 1

Arrival

 You will be landing at Keflavik airport. I will be there to pick you up in order to take you to your hotel. We will become acquainted with each other and arrange the last details before we begin our photographic trips

Day 2

Golden Cycle-South part

We start early from our hotel  and drive straight to the great autumn landscape in Þingvellir National Park, we capture the autumn colors in the soft light at sunrise, then we keep on further west to more great autumn colors at some remote waterfalls  such as Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss,Skogafoss . We overnight in Vik for the  night.

Day 3

   Vik -Jökulsárlón

From Vík we travel further east to Vatnajökull National Park and Glacier Lagoon area, on the way we’ll stop at some misterious locations such as the moss covered lave fields in Eldhraun, turf roof churches, Skaftafell and hike up to the Black Falls and glaciers

Day 4

Stockness-Vik

The picturesque east fjords are calling us. We will stop at the more jagged costal peaks of Vestrahorn and we’ll stop in ample
locations to photograph seastacks, the winding roads and cascading streams down the steep terraced mountains

Day 5

Snæfellsnes peninsula

We visit the famous mountain Kirkjufell, and other spectacular locations when we circle the Snæfellsnes peninsula, such as Lóndrangar, Arnarstapi, Black church at Búðir to name a few locations. Capturing the aurora over mountain Kirkjufell is “The Dream Shot” for many photographers.

Day 6

Snæfellsnes peninsula- Blue lagoon

After capturing our last sunrise on this tour in Snæfellsnes ,we travel back west and we’ll be flexible with locations, and stop where the light is good and conditions right. We arrive in Blue Lagoon in the afternoon for incredible moments of relaxation and spa

Glacier Lagoon and The Ice Beach

Vatnajökull – the largest and most voluminous Icelandic glacier

    Καλησπέρα George Thalassinos. Το ταξιδι ειναι open και σε ενδιαφερόμενους που δεν ασχολούνται συστηματικά η επαγγελματικά με τη φωτογραφία (ερασιτέχνες); Που κυριως θα ήθελαν να έρθουν ως τουρίστες;
